Couscous with Chicken Barbeque bits

Couscous is a grain product made from semolina – coarsely ground it to wheat flour or, in some regions, from coarsely ground barley or pearl millet. Traditional couscous requires considerable preparation time and is usually steamed. Couscous is traditionally served with meat or vegetable stew. It can also be eaten alone, flavored or plain, warm or cold, mixed with variety of dishes or as a side dish.

Couscous is one of the healthiest grain products. So, for those who greatly consider their diet in preparing meals, here’s one good and easy recipe for you.

ü               1 cup couscous grains
ü               ¾ cup water
ü               1 Tablespoon butter
ü               2 Teaspoon chicken stock powder (or any other alternative to taste)
ü               Chicken barbeque bits

1. Heat butter, add couscous and stir to coat.
2. Add water, stir in the chicken stock powder, bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat to lowest setting until liquid is absorbed.
4. Once it is dry keep on stirring to avoid getting burnt.
5. Mixed in the chicken bits.
